The Randall Access Road Tour team accepted the ALS #IceBucketChallenge. While on the Road Tour in August, Chuck Carey, Randall’s Vice-President of Sales, Jay Brooks, Territory Manager, and Logan Anglewicz, Digital Coordinator, joined the ranks of thousands of Americans who are dumping buckets of ice water over their heads to raise awareness of and boost research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The challenge was accepted in true Road Tour fashion. Just as the Road Tour is a novel, dare we say- epic way of showcasing a product line. Our Road Tour team couldn’t just use a bucket; they needed something larger, something memorable, something not seen before– yes, a Backhoe. A backhoe that contained over 120 gallons of water, 40 pounds of ice to crash down on this trio’s heads in a split second. Luckily, no one was hurt, frost bit, and no damage to our Road Tour vehicle was reported. This team will now have a tale to tell for generations to come and have duly passed on the challenge to raise awareness for this debilitating disease and think creatively.
We’re proud to support such a worthwhile cause. If you’d like to learn more about ALS, visit their website, www.alsa.org.
